Stomach cancer is a type of gastrointestinal cancer. About 6 of every 10 people diagnosed with it each year are 65 or older.

What is gastrointestinal cancer?

Gastrointestinal cancer is cancer that develops along the GI tract, or digestive tract, including esophageal, gallbladder, liver, pancreas, small intestine and stomach. Where the cancer cells originate determines which type of GI cancer you have.

They will work with your primary care provider, and integrate your care with a full team of supportive services, including counseling, financial navigators/social workers, nurse navigators and oncology dietitians.

After treatment, other specialists like ostomy nurses will continue to support you.
