No. Adult day services are offered Monday through Friday and are closed on six major holidays
OSF Senior World understands the importance of providing education and support for family caregivers.
We practice an open door policy and welcome caregivers to contact us with questions regarding their loved ones participation in the program, community resources and approaches to care.
Senior World offers support group meetings at both locations in addition to educational opportunities throughout the year.
OSF Senior World is committed to affordable care. We partner with the Illinois Community Care Program, the Department of Veterans Affairs, Managed Care Organizations, the Central Illinois Agency on Aging Respite program and long-term care insurance plans.
Many families pay privately because of the great value OSF Senior World offers for their loved ones compared to in-home care or institutionalization.
Our staff will gladly discuss costs and help you explore funding options if needed. Currently, no Medicare coverage is available for adult day services.
Currently OSF Senior World serves older adults age 60 and over from Peoria, Tazewell and Woodford counties in Central Illinois. Programming is offered to seniors who are frail, disabled, memory impaired, socially isolated or those in need of supervision but are not ready for nursing home placement.
All program applicants are evaluated individually. Scheduling depends on participant needs and transportation availability.
OSF Senior World admits and treats all eligible persons without regard to race, creed, color, national origin, disability or age.
OSF Senior World requires each participant commit to a minimum of one day per week for a minimum of four hours.
All participants wear a name tag with the facility name and phone number. All outside doors have a lock system and/or alarm devices to prohibit wandering from the facility.
The main entrance is controlled by an electronic key system and is closely monitored by staff.
